Trainer Profile


Mr Dick Lee was the Chief Operating Officer of a major enterprise telephony solution provider at the peak of his corporate career, managing sales worth over $25 million per annum.  In his 10-year tenure in Keppel Communications, he was responsible for starting-up and growing the overseas offices in Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan and Indonesia, securing contracting work in cellular rollout with revenue in excess of SD60million.  He was also instrumental in developing and managing a business wide transformation initiative that delivered 30% growth over a 3-year period.

He embarked on his consulting and training business in 2005 and quickly build a reputation as a highly-regarded facilitator and consultant in the region in the area of strategy, leadership, business transformation and sales.

Dick has been a member of the KPMG Trainer Network since September 2014.

Using his keen knowledge in people and business drivers, Dick has helped many organisations align their visions, goals and objectives with business intent by effectively engaging stakeholders, defining outcomes and designing the roadmap to drive behavioral change and add benefit to their bottom line.

As a facilitator, he is inclusive, but is also comfortable to challenge, influence and persuade senior teams and individuals at all levels to consider new approaches.  He takes extra efforts to ensure that his delegates gained the desired knowledge and aptitude from his workshops.

Participants will complete a self-assessment to help them identify their leadership style.


Understanding Leadership

This session will explore several different leadership models, including Situational Leadership II® and servant leadership.


Critical Coaching Skills

Participants will examine important coaching skills in small groups, including helping, mentoring, teaching, and challenging skills.


Managers vs. Leaders

The differences between management and leadership will be explored.


Team Learning

Participants will learn what a leader’s role is in a team, and how to lead them through a discussion to reach an agreement point.


Managing Your Time and Your Energy

In this session, participants will learn how to get organized, set goals, and manage their resources and time.


The Commitment Curve

Participants will learn about the commitment curve and how to use it to build employee engagement.


Managing Performance and Development

This session will look at performance and development planning, facilitation and evaluation, including how to conduct effective appraisal and coaching.


Feedback Techniques

This will delve into the art of feedback and learn some specific techniques. Constructive criticism will also be discussed.


Doing Delegation Right

This will give participants an opportunity to practice delegation through a group exercise and a role play. Participants will also learn about the different levels of delegation.


Influence Strategies

At the very core of leadership is the ability to influence people. This session will give participants some ways to persuade individuals to change. Robert Cialdini’s influence strategies will be covered.


Managing Relationships

This will take a detailed look at different aspects of relationships, including the relationship cycle.


Dealing with Conflict and Difficult Issues

In this session, participants will learn seven techniques for resolving conflict.

What Successful Leaders Do

The course will wrap up with a look at the practices of successful leaders and organizations.

This workshop has been designed for first-time managers and for anyone who is interested in learning how to become an effective leader.
